“All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am.”
– Brandi Carlile
Psychiatrist Carl Jung said that in midlife we have a sort of “second puberty”. This can be a scary and disorienting time leaving us feeling vulnerable, confused and overwhelmed. We stand at a cross road where we’re no longer who we use to be but we’re not sure who we are becoming.
We might find ourselves in a psychological quandary with a strong temptation to keep moving, doing, jumping headfirst into a new relationship, new job, anything that makes us feel in control, and puts an end to the uncertainty. The very essence of midlife is that it invites us to hold the opposites, our past and our future, doing and being; to be with the not knowing until more is revealed.
As your coach, I will help you hold the opposites and gain clarity about where you are today. Together we will explore what’s in the middle, clarify your choices and discover what’s possible for you. You will experience change and learn how to design the authentic and abundant life you want to live.
